Tejas Vakil

President & CEO, Board of Directors

Tejas is a 35-year veteran of the technology industry. He has held executive positions at Dell, Bertelsmann (arvato), Compaq, and Tandem Computer. He was CEO of Transpond Global Solutions, an RFID company that he founded. He has also held executive positions at four other technology startups. Tejas has an MS in Computer Science (Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago), an MBA (University of Iowa), and a BS in Chemical Engineering (University of Madras, India).

Tejas and his wife live in Austin.

Chris Munson

Chief Financial Officer

Chris Munson has been president or CFO of over two dozen companies and formed his first company after graduating from the University of Texas. Chris has worked with technology, manufacturing and consumer goods companies from startup stage to Fortune 500 companies. Chris has participated in over fifty mergers or funding events and in over a dozen of the transactions assumed the leading role for the buyer, seller, investor or investee.

Chris was named Austin Young Entrepreneur of the year in 1989 and is a graduate of the University of Texas Austin with a Bachelors of Business Administration.

Michael Stoutenburg

Vice President of Sales

Mike Stoutenburg has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. His career started with working for two major commercial captive finance companies (Ford Motor Credit and Mercedes-Benz Credit) where he held positions in collections, wholesale as well as a fleet credit analyst. Mike has stayed close to the automotive industry with leading indirect lending sales teams and an auto lease sales team. Lending software sales became one of his career passions’ starting in 2005 where he worked for a leading company delivering loan origination software to credit unions and banks across the U.S. Over the years Mike has had national and regional sales positions and most recently led a sales team at Fiserv, Inc.

Mike is a 1994 graduate from Western Kentucky University. He currently resides in the Atlanta, GA area with his wife and three children.

Carl Clark

Senior Director of Development

Carl Clark has over 20 years’ experience in information technology and has been involved in every part of system development from design through development, testing, implementation and support.  All his technical experience is in consumer lending and collections, including the Pawn and sub-prime industry. He previously served in a variety of roles at EZCorp, Inc. including a long tenure as Director of Software Development.  He joined the FinanceGenius team in 2016 to lead the technical team in the development of the company’s flagship products.

Mr. Clark received his B.S. with Honors in Computer Science from Southwest Texas State in 2001.  He currently resides in the Austin area with his wife and two children.

Rosa Trachta

Director of Product Management

Rosa Trachta has been working in the software industry for over 15 years both in both customer facing and technical roles. She has over 12 years in project and release management and over 6 years owning the vision and direction of the product.

Rosa has extensive experience in the financial services industry as she took a very hands-on approach in her role as Product Manager for Teres Solutions, Inc. In that time, she worked to ensure on time and on budget delivery of quality, in-demand feature that allowed customers to streamline processes and increase efficiencies. Rosa joined the FinanceGenius team in 2013 as the Director of Product Management to drive the creation of the company’s flagship product: FinanceGenius loan origination. In that time, with the support of an exceptional team, FG has been designed to be a LOS that is easy to learn, simple to use and painless to support.

Rosa graduated from Texas A&M International in 2000 with an MBA and an MIS. Her double undergrad in English and Spanish was focused on Bi-lingual education and different learning approaches.

Dr. Lary Evans

Chairman, Board of Directors

Lary Evans spent 28 plus years in the computer industry. He retired in 2000 from the position of VP and Gen. Mgr. at Dell Computer where he was head of Engineering and Product Marketing for the Dell Server Group. In three years, the Server revenue increased from $100Million to greater than $1Billion. Prior to Dell, Evans had executive positions at Sequent Computer Systems, Culler Scientific, Xerox, Digital Equipment and Data General.

Earlier, Dr. Evans was a professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Currently, Evans is a board member of rateGenius, Inc. and is Chairman of the Board for Optimal Electronics, a s/w company serving electronic manufacturing. Dr. Evans has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

David Baizer

Board of Directors

David Baizer is the President of Baizer Interest, Inc., a 20-year-old company specializing in commercial real estate ownership, development, management and investment; and private equity investment in a series of small companies in which he has held multiple board and advisory positions.  Before that he worked in computer technology for McDonnell Douglas (aerospace), Alvey (material handling) and Data Research (library automation).

He was a founding member of the Austin chapter of Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization serving as both President and Treasurer.  EO is an international organization with the goal of helping founders of young companies connect, learn and grown from each other. He has been involved with several religious, education and community service organizations, most recently leading an effort to build new facilities for his congregation. David holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Rex Bohls

Board of Directors

Rex Bohls is an Austin real estate developer and investor.  He has been instrumental in the development of residential subdivisions in and around the Austin and San Antonio metroplexes for the last 30+ years.  In the last few years much of his focus has been buying and selling recreational ranches in the Texas hill country.  He serves on the board of several local companies, in which he has ownership, and continually looks for investments in local entities.

Rex is a native Austinite, earned his B.B.A. in accounting from Texas Tech University and upon graduation in 1978, joined Peat, Marwick, Mitchell (n.k.a. KPMG).  He rose to the level of Tax Manager before leaving in 1982 to join his father in the real estate business. Rex was a committee member of the United States Golf Association for fourteen years and served on the board of the Texas Golf Association for four years.

Chris Brown

Chris is the co-founder of rateGenius, Inc., a multi-state, web-based loan brokerage company specializing in automotive refinance and rateGenius Insurance Agency (insurance brokerage operation).  Under his direction, rateGenius has become a leader in the auto refinance industry.

Prior to rateGenius, Chris had over 20 years of experience in general and sales management roles with auto dealerships.  He was also VP of Operations and General Manager of Southern Union Econofuels.  Chris founded FinanceGenius in 2010 as a wholly owned subsidiary of rateGenius, Inc.

Rick Salwen

Board of Directors

Rick Salwen is the retired former Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Dell Computer Corporation.  He joined Dell and founded the Dell legal department in 1989, when it was a company with $250 million in annual revenues, and retired in 2000, when Dell had reached $30 billion – revenue growth of approximately twelve thousand percent in twelve years!

Prior to joining Dell, Rick was General Counsel and Partner at the Perot Group in Dallas, and before that was Associate General Counsel at Electronic Data Systems Corp.  Rick earned his B.A. and Law degrees at the University of Washington in Seattle.  Today, Rick spends his time working with startup and small business ventures, and serves on the boards of both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
